Student Scholarship Award 

The Craven Community Concert Band awards a $500 scholarship to a High School student who is a member of the Craven Community Concert Band.  The criteria and application process are shown below.

Award Criteria:

The student must be a current member of the Band and have been a member of the CCC Band for at least two years.

The student must be a member in good standing of his/her high school band. He or she must possess the ability to communicate in a positive manner with his or her peers and other members of the band. He or she must display the aptitude and attitude that we feel necessary for participating in music at the college level.

The student must intend to attend an accredited college or university.

Application Process:

Student member must write approximately one half page letter stating why he/she would like to be considered. The letter may include participation and experience in the CCC Band, high school band experiences, or plans for the future. It is due in October.

A short letter of recommendation from the student’s high school band director is also needed in October.
